Last Mile Maps & Data
Maps related to the MBI's Last Mile programs for "unserved" and "underserved" towns in the MassBroadband 123 network footprint. "Unserved" towns do not have cable, fiber-optic, or other internet services that meet the FCC minimum requirement speeds of 25 Mbps downstream & 3 Mbps upstream. "Underserved" towns have cable broadband services with less than 96% cable penetration rates.
MassBroadband 123 Maps & Data
Maps depicting the MassBroadband 123 service area and network design. The MassBroadband 123 project consists of over 1,200 miles of fiber to connect over 120 unserved and underserved communities in western and north central Massachusetts.
National Broadband Deployment Maps & Data
The FCC collects broadband deployment data from existing broadband service providers through Form 477. Broadband maps and data downloads for Massachusetts and the rest of the country are available through their website.
Statewide Broadband Availability Maps & Data (2010 - 2014)
Maps depicting estimated broadband services available throughout Massachusetts, as reported by existing broadband service providers. The data used to create these maps was collected as part of a broadband mapping grant program funded by the National Telecommunications & Information Administration (NTIA) that ended in January 2015.
