Solicitation - Digital Equity Partnership Program

Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (“MassTech”) on behalf of the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (“MBI”) is issuing this Solicitation for the Digital Equity Partnerships Program (the “Program”) (Solicitation No. 2023-MBI-04 ).

About the Digital Equity Partnership Program

The Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) seeks 10 - 15 organizations to support the implementation of the Digital Equity Partnership Program's six initiatives across the state. Once designated as partners, these entities will have fiduciary and technical responsibilities associated with executing the grant funding, as well as access to resources designed to build capacity and expertise in digital equity implementation activities.

These Partners will be responsible for implementing digital equity projects in or more of the following areas:

• Digital Literacy Initiative;
• WiFi Access Initiative;
• Public Space Internet Modernization Initiative;
• Connectivity Initiative for Economic Hardship;
• Device Distribution and Refurbishment Initiative; and
• Education, Outreach, and Adoption.

Eligibility

Eligible organizations include but are not limited to: Regional Planning Agencies, Philanthropic Foundations, public and nonprofit Service Providers, or other nonprofit organizations with a clear geographic constituency or area of relevant technical expertise. MassTech will allow Partnerships with individual organizations and coalitions of multiple organizations, as long as there is a clearly defined lead applicant.
