Background
The Asset Inventory was created to provide a comprehensive and accessible database for the public to learn about the growing Digital Equity Ecosystem in Massachusetts.
As part of the Statewide Digital Equity Planning Process, MBI worked with Regional Planning Associations, Partnerships Program grantees and Community Based Organization (CBO) partners to gather information on existing assets such as programs, organizations, plans or individuals working to advance digital equity and inclusion as part of the Asset Inventory. To collect data for the Asset Inventory, MBI launched a comprehensive outreach strategy, relying on partners and existing programming to spread the Asset Inventory Intake form, which fed directly into the inventory.
The resulting database contains over 650 unique organizations providing a variety of programs and services related to digital equity.
Asset Inventory
Intended Use
The Asset Inventory aims to offer a searchable database of available resources and programs offered by organizations currently engaged in digital equity and inclusion work.
This first version of the Inventory is primarily for interested organizations and digital equity practitioners to:
- Explore digital equity initiatives tailored to specific geographies or populations.
- Identify additional partners and collaborators who may have synergies with their work.
- Engage new digital equity partners by allowing them to submit their organization to the inventory.
A video tutorial describing the Asset Inventory, including a demonstration, is available below.
Need to Request a Change or New Asset?
To ensure the Inventory remains current and comprehensive, users are encouraged to submit an electronic form to suggest edits, deletions or additions of information to the database. This same form also includes an opportunity for users to share feedback or suggestions for enhancement. These submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis by MBI.
